1. What is happening at Virgin Active Point?
Virgin Active Point is transforming into South Africa’s first Collection Country Club a completely new kind of space where wellness meets lifestyle, and luxury meets community.
It’s more than a refurbishment, it’s a full reimagining of what a fitness club can be.
2. What’s new inside the Collection Country Club?
Members can expect:
- A luxury spa area with hot and cold therapy.
- A full recovery suite with hydromassage beds, compression boots and more.
- Five new studios for classes like Hot Yoga, Reformer Pilates, Hot Pilates, Sound Bath, Lift Club and Punch.
- Unlimited padel (free for Founder Members).
- The Virgin Active Chad le Clos Swim Academy.
- Outdoor training areas, pool and padel courts.
- Health suites with dieticians, biokineticists, and sports scientists.
- Work and social spaces with meeting rooms and refreshed Nü café.
- Unlimited access to all Premier clubs and international reciprocity across select clubs in 9 countries.
3. What is a Founder Member?
Founder Members are our most loyal early joiners who secure exclusive benefits and pricing before the official reopening. The rates are current membershipship specific:
- Founders and/or Family Special Offer:
- Founders’ principal member only pricing: R1,749 pm; or
- Founders Family Package (which must be accessory to a Founders principal membership):
- 1st Principal member: R1,749 pm;
- Spouse / Partner: R1,749 pm;
- First child free; additional children R1,250 pm each (8 years+);
- Vitality members receive a 50% discount.
- (ii) Legacy Pre-2010 Founder Offer:
- Legacy (Pre-2010 Vitality) Principal members pay a special rate of R499 pm.
4. Who can become a Founder Member?
- We’re first inviting: Existing Point members.
- We’ll then open to:
- Premier members who have trained at Point during 2025.
- Padel non-members who have been active in our community.
- Once all Point members and member who have used the club have been provided with the offer then we will open up to all others until membership limit has been reached. After the limit has been reached potential Point members will be put on a waiting list.
5. What happens if a current Point member doesn’t take the Founder offer?
If they don’t take the Founder offer:
- Their rate will move to R2,249 once the club reopens (for the remainder of their existing initial period of their contract).
- If they are in their autorenewal period then they stay on a Flexi option, their rate will move to R2,999 per month.
- Should they want to transfer to a club (Excluding Collection) of their choice as a once off offer we will waiver the transfer fees to this club.
6. Legacy Vitality members will get a separate mail explaining that their monthly fee will be R499 at this club.
These members will be required to click on the link and they will be contacted via a telephonic campaignaign to chat through changes/ concerns and obtain bank details should they want to take up the founders offer.
7. What is the Flexi Member option?
The Flexi membership allows members to pay month-to-month with no long-term commitment.
The Flexi rate will be R2,999 per month from reopening.
8. When does the club reopen?
The new Collection Country Club – Virgin Active Point is scheduled to reopen in Early 2026.
9. What happens to prospects joining from November 2025?
New joiners in November will:
Pay R1,500 per month until reopening.
Automatically convert to Founder Membership (R1,749) when the club reopens, for 12 months. Provided they have completed the link and agreed to T&C.
10. How long will Padel be free for Founder Members?
Padel will be free for Founder Members for 2026 (the Founder term) or until the end of the FY26 calendar year, whichever comes first.
Future offers may include Padel as a promotion, depending on demand and club strategy.

11. Why has the studio space changed (smaller Studio 1)?
Studio 1 has been resized to make space for five new bespoke studios offering a wider range of classes.
This design:
- Reduces overcrowding in individual classes.
- Increases variety and access to more specialised training.
We will keep monitoring attendance and adjust class schedules to ensure everyone gets a fair opportunity to book and enjoy classes.
12. Will current Point members have to rejoin?
Yes. To access the new club and enjoy Founder pricing, members will need to Complete the link and recommit to the Founders special rate and new initial period. This ensures all new benefits and facilities are linked to the correct membership terms and pricing.
13. Why is pricing increasing?
The new Collection Country Club offers expanded facilities, luxury amenities, more studios, recovery zones, and wellness services far beyond a traditional club.
Pricing reflects this elevated experience and access to premium spaces, while still offering loyalty-based Founder rates as a thank-you to existing members.
14. How do members join as Founder Members?
HOME CLUB POINT ONLY Members can:
Scan the QR Code in club, Link via contact Centre and Social media teams:
Use the QR code or link in their Founder Member invitation email.
Complete the short online process and confirm their new membership at R1,749 per month.
15. Until when is the Founder offer valid?
Founder Member rates are available until the end of December 2025, or until all Founder spots are taken.
The communication and T&Cs state that this is a limited time offer to create urgency.
After the initial 12 months your price increase will go up annually in January with a % based increase.
16. What if a member has more questions?
Encourage them to:
- Visit or call Virgin Active Point directly.
- Speak to our Contact Centre.
- Email us via the address listed in their Founder invite mailer.
17. What is the Age limit for this club
All children over the age of 8 years old can join this club, the Swim offer from our Chad Le Clos swim school will suit this age group.
For the family founder offer your child needs to be between the ages of 8-13 to qualify.
18. Alternative Options for Members
We understand that each member’s needs are unique. If you choose not to take up the offer to remain at Point and pay the applicable rates during the initial period, you have the flexibility to:
- Transfer to another club of your choice – we will waive all transfer fees (please note this excludes Collection clubs).
- Cancel your membership – you may do so without incurring any cancellation fees should you be within your initial period.

1. Who is eligible for the free Padel offer?
The offer applies exclusively to all Founder members for 2026.
2. Is the offer unlimited?
Yes, Founder members can play unlimited padel sessions, but this excludes socials, leagues, and tournaments.
3. Can non-Virgin Active members play at Point?
Yes, non-members are welcome to play at Point.
4. How do I sign up for a VA Point membership?
Simply pop into the club and our friendly staff will assist you.
If you are already a Virgin Active Point member, there’s a simple link you can click to convert your membership.
5. Does this offer apply to Silo or other VA members?
TBC no final decision has been made.
How do I book a court?
Both members and non-members will continue to book courts through the Playtomic VAPC Point booking system. The appropriate rate will automatically apply to members (R0) and non-members.
7. Are equipment and racquets provided, or do I need my own?
Members can bring their own racquets and balls, but racquets and balls as well as other padel merchandise are available to rent or buy at the club if needed. All Virgin Active members receive a 15% discount on racquets, bags and footwear purchases.
8. Are there any age restrictions for playing?
The padel courts are generally suitable for all ages, HOWEVER access tot these facilities are only permitted to children 8 years and older.
No children under 8 years old permitted.
9. Can I bring a guest who is not a VA or Point member?
Yes, guests are welcome, but the free padel will only apply to the Founder members’ portion of the game; guests will need to pay standard guest fees and padel fees
10. Can I play during peak hours?
Founder members can play unlimited sessions
11. Can I use the free Padel offer across all Virgin Active Padel locations?
Currently, the offer is valid only at Point Collection Country Club.
12. How long does each session last?
Standard Padel sessions last approx.60 min.
13. What happens if I cancel a booking?
Please follow the cancellation policy in the Point booking system to avoid losing your session.
14. Are lessons or coaching included?
No, the free sessions cover game play only. Coaching, clinics, or private lessons are separate.
15. Can Founder members join leagues or tournaments at the discounted/free rate?
The free unlimited play does not include socials, leagues, or tournaments, these are booked and paid separately.
16. When does the free padel for members apply from?
The access to free Padel begins when the Country Collection Club opens its doors officially in 2026.

Virgin Active “Collection Country Club” Membership – Recommitment Offer Terms & Conditions
As a valued member, Point Virgin Active is being upgraded to our first-ever “Collection Country Club” in South Africa. This means that both Collection members and the newly minted Collection Country Club members will have exclusive access to the Point club facilities.
On opening of the Point club “Collection Country Club” concept, existing members will have a choice between two options to be exercised on or before end of January 2026:
- Choose the special Point club “Collection Country Club” Founders offer price at a new 12-month recommitment period available for a limited time only under the terms and conditions detailed below and capped to a specific number of members (the “Founders and/or Family Special Offer”); or
- Make no election at all by the club opening early in 2026, miss out on the Founders and/or Family Special Offer, and be automatically subject to the Point club 1 January price increase which, once announced, will be significantly higher. (Current Point members only)
Legacy (pre-2010 Vitality) members will, on opening of the Point club “Collection Country Club” concept, have a slightly different choice to make between two options to be exercised on or before the new club opens early 2026.:
- Choose the special Point club “Collection Country Club” Legacy-Founders offer price at a new 12-month recommitment period available for a limited time only under the terms and conditions detailed below (the “Legacy Pre-2010 Founder Offer”); or
- Make no election at all by the opening of the new club, miss out on the Legacy Pre-2010 Founder Offer, and you will be automatically transferred, free of charge, to a new Home Club which can be a Home Club of your choosing (but excluding Collection Clubs and Collection Country Clubs), at the prevailing legacy membership rate arrangement. (Current club Point members only)
By proactively choosing (i) the Founders and/or Family Special Offer, or (ii) the Legacy Pre-2010 Founder Offer, you hereby agree to the following terms:
Renewal Commitment:
Your current membership contract with Virgin Active (the “Original Contract”) will, upon your confirmation of your selection of (i) the Founders and/or Family Special Offer, or (ii) the Legacy Pre-2010 Founder Offer:
Be amended and a new fixed term of 12 months will apply (the “New Commitment Period”); and
Notwithstanding that the amendment agreement contemplated hereunder will immediately come into effect upon your confirmation, the New Commitment Period will only commence running from the day that the Point Collection Country Club re-opens (currently projected to open in early 2026 – notices will be sent out in due course).
Membership Options & Pricing:
(i) Founders and/or Family Special Offer:
Founders’ principal member only pricing: R1,749 pm; or
Founders Family Package (which must be accessory to a Founders principal membership):
1st Principal member: R1,749 pm;
Spouse / Partner: R1,749 pm;
First child free; additional children R1,250 pm each (8 years+);
Vitality members receive a 50% discount.
(ii) Legacy Pre-2010 Founder Offer:
Legacy (Pre-2010 Vitality) Principal members pay a special rate of R499 pm.
Changes to Membership under the Founders and/or Family Special Offer:
- In the first 6 months of the New Commitment Period, no upgrades, downgrades or transfers will be permitted unless the proposed change effectively amounts to a cancellation of the contract, in which case the provisions of paragraph 8 below (and the applicable provisions in the Original Contract) will apply.
- Once permitted, any upgrades, downgrades, or transfers to another club during the New Commitment Period (i.e. after the first 6 months) will result in the immediate revocation and removal of the Founders and/or Family Special Offer and the then standard price/rates applicable to whatever the newly chosen membership product is will then apply.
Payment Authority:
The existing “authority to debit” mandate in the Original Contract remains valid for the New Commitment Period and thereafter, including with respect to any applicable adjustments or increases from time to time applicable to monthly fees/instalments in line with Virgin Active’s membership price increases.
Access Rights:
Notwithstanding whatever the Original Contract may say about access rights for Collection members, “Collection Country Club” members will not be permitted access to Collection Clubs and/or any other Clubs ranked at a tier level above Collection, but will instead have access to:
- Other Collection Country Clubs in South Africa (as and when these open);
- All other Health Clubs in South Africa, excluding Collection Clubs and/or any other Clubs ranked at a tier level above Collection;
- All other Collection Country Country Clubs internationally; and
- Select Clubs internationally, excluding Collection Clubs and/or any other Clubs ranked at a tier level above Collection.
Fee Adjustments:
As and when more Collection Country Clubs are available or open (in South Africa or internationally), Collection Country Club membership fees will vary according to your chosen Collection Country Club home Club. We however reserve the right to adjust your membership fees quarterly (or at any other measurement period chosen by us) depending on the retail rate for the Collection Country Club that you visited or used the most frequently in the preceding calendar quarter (or such other measurement period chosen by us). This is regardless of whether you are in or outside your New Commitment Period. Currency exchange rates may vary from time to time in the application of these provisions.
Other Terms Unchanged:
Except as expressly provided for and amended in these recommitment terms and conditions (which are specifically in connection with (i) the Founders and/or Family Special Offer and/or (ii) the Legacy Pre-2010 Founder Offer), all other terms and conditions of the Original Contract remain unchanged and binding. Capitalised terms retain the definitions provided in the Original Contract.
Early Cancellation:
A reasonable cancellation fee will apply if you cancel your membership before the end of the New Commitment Period.
Acknowledgment of Terms:
- You understand that by accepting these terms and conditions you hereby agree to amend the Original Contract and agree to a new 12-month Commitment Period under these terms and conditions; and
- Your membership continues to be subject to Virgin Active’s Membership Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Rule Book, available at www.virginactive.co.za.
