Your Randburg chiller upgrade is officially underway!

Dear Member,

We’ve got some exciting news, the long-awaited HVAC (air conditioning) upgrade at Virgin Active Randburg has entered its final installation phase.

Firstly, thank you. We know training without the level of comfort you expect hasn’t been ideal, and we genuinely appreciate your patience while we complete this major investment in your club.

Here’s where we are:

During the recent refurbishment, the new chiller system was scheduled to be installed before reopening. Unfortunately, delays in the delivery of specialist equipment meant the final components arrived later than planned.

The good news? The equipment is now on site, and installation is in full swing.

Keeping the club as cool as possible:

While our contractors complete the upgrade, we’ve introduced a number of temporary cooling solutions:

• 4 large mobile air-conditioning units throughout the club
• 10 industrial fans across key training zones and Group Exercise studios
• Continuous temperature monitoring to maximise member comfort

Need a cooler workout?

While the installation is underway, you’re welcome to train at any Virgin Active club, excluding Collection Clubs, at no additional cost.

We’re incredibly excited to deliver the finishing touch to the newly refurbished Randburg club and will keep you updated as we approach completion.
