Virgin Active “Collection Urban Club” Membership – Recommitment Offer Terms & Conditions 

As a valued member, Wembley Virgin Active is being upgraded to our first-ever “Collection Urban Club” in South Africa. This means that Collection, Collection Country and Collection Urban, Members will have exclusive access to the Wembley club facilities.

On opening of the Wembley club “Collection Urban Club” concept, existing members will have a choice between a few options to be exercised on or before the beginning of September 2026:

1. Choose the special Wembley club “Collection UrbanClub” Founders offer price at a new 12-month recommitment period available for a limited time only under the terms and conditions detailed below and capped to a specific number of members (the “Founders Special Offer”); or
2. Make no election at all by the club opening in September 2026, miss out on the Founders Special Offer, and be automatically subject to the Wembley club 1 October price increase which, once announced, will be significantly higher. (Current Wembley members only)

Legacy (pre-2010 Vitality) members will, on opening of the Wembley club “Collection Urban Club” concept, have a slightly different choice to make between two options to be exercised on or before the new club opens:

1. Choose the special Wembley club “Collection Urban Club” Legacy-Founders offer price at a new 12-month recommitment period available for a limited time only under the terms and conditions detailed below (the “Legacy Pre-2010 Founder Offer”); or
2. Make no election at all by the opening of the new club, miss out on the Legacy Pre-2010 Founder Offer, and you will be automatically transferred, free of charge, to a new Home Club which can be a Home Club of your choosing (but excluding Collection Urban, Collection Clubs and Collection Country Clubs), at the prevailing legacy membership rate arrangement. (Current club Wembley members only)

By proactively choosing (i) the Founders Special Offer, or (ii) the Legacy Pre-2010 Founder Offer, you hereby agree to the following terms: 

1. Renewal Commitment: 

1. Your current membership contract with Virgin Active (the “Original Contract”) will, upon your confirmation of your selection of (i) the Founders Special Offer, or (ii) the Legacy Pre-2010 Founder Offer: 

1. Be amended and a new fixed term of 12 months will apply (the “New Commitment Period”); and 

2. Notwithstanding that the amendment agreement contemplated hereunder will immediately come into effect upon your confirmation, the New Commitment Period will only commence running from the day that the Wembley Collection Urban Club re-opens (currently projected to open in early September 2026 – notices will be sent out in due course). 

2. Membership Options & Pricing: 

(i) Age 0-7  offer (Existing children currently at Wembley Only): 

1. Free until 8^th Birthday

(ii) 8-13 offer 

1. Public: R330 pm
2. Vitality: R231 pm

(iii)14 to 17 years Offer (Wembley Only): 

1. Public: R480 pm
2. Vitality: R336 pm

(iv) Youth (under 14 to 17 years) Offer (Wembley plus Premier): 

1. Public: R1,200 pm
2. Vitality: R600 pm

Existing Club Members

Members may choose:

(i) Founders 12-month Commitment (Current Wembley Members Only): 

1. Public: R1,650 pm
2. Vitality: R499 pm

OR

(ii) Month-to-Month (Wembley Only):

1. Public: R1,999 pm
2. Vitality: R999.50 pm

Existing Premier Members

Members may choose:

(i) Founder 12-Month Commitment (Wembley plus Premier: 

1. Public: R1,650 pm
2. Vitality: R825 pm

OR

(ii) Month-to-Month (Wembley plus Premier):

1. Public: R1,999 pm
2. Vitality: R999.50 pm

Members who choose not to include Wembley access may remain on a standard Premier membership.

(iii) Premier (excluding Wembley):

1. Public: R1,670 pm
2. Vitality: R835 pm

Legacy Members

(i) Proposal: 

1. Existing Vitality Contribution R399pm – Legacy Club 
2. Existing Vitality Contribution R499pm – Legacy Premier
3. No new Legacy memberships will be sold. 

3. Changes to Membership under the Founders Special Offer: 

• In the first 6 months of the New Commitment Period, no upgrades, downgrades or transfers will be permitted unless the proposed change effectively amounts to a cancellation of the contract, in which case the provisions of paragraph 8 below (and the applicable provisions in the Original Contract) will apply. 
• Once permitted, any upgrades, downgrades, or transfers to another club during the New Commitment Period (i.e. after the first 6 months) will result in the immediate revocation and removal of the Founders Special Offer and the then standard price/rates applicable to whatever the newly chosen membership product is will then apply. 

4. Payment Authority: 

The existing “authority to debit” mandate in the Original Contract remains valid for the New Commitment Period and thereafter, including with respect to any applicable adjustments or increases from time to time applicable to monthly fees/instalments in line with Virgin Active’s membership price increases. 

5. Access Rights: 

Notwithstanding whatever the Original Contract may say about access rights for Collection Urban members, “Collection Urban Club” members will not be permitted access to Collection Clubs and/or any other Clubs ranked at a tier level above Urban Collection, but will instead have access to: 

• Other Collection Urban Clubs in South Africa (as and when these open); 
• All other Health Clubs in South Africa, excluding Collection Clubs and/or any other Clubs ranked at a tier level above Collection; 
• All other Collection UrbanClubs internationally; and 
• Select Clubs internationally, excluding Collection Clubs and/or any other Clubs ranked at a tier level above Collection. 

6. Fee Adjustments: 

As and when more Collection Urban Clubs are available or open (in South Africa or internationally), Collection Urban Club membership fees will vary according to your chosen Collection Urban Club home Club. We however reserve the right to adjust your membership fees quarterly (or at any other measurement period chosen by us) depending on the retail rate for the Collection Urban Club that you visited or used the most frequently in the preceding calendar quarter (or such other measurement period chosen by us). This is regardless of whether you are in or outside your New Commitment Period. Currency exchange rates may vary from time to time in the application of these provisions.   

Your membership fee may be adjusted from time to time in accordance with the terms of your applicable corporate or partner membership programme, including where your access, eligibility or usage percentage changes (for example, under the Discovery Vitality benefit).

Other Terms Unchanged: 

Except as expressly provided for and amended in these recommitment terms and conditions (which are specifically in connection with (i) the Founders Special Offer and/or (ii) the Legacy Pre-2010 Founder Offer), all other terms and conditions of the Original Contract remain unchanged and binding. Capitalised terms retain the definitions provided in the Original Contract. 

8. Early Cancellation: 

A reasonable cancellation fee will apply if you cancel your membership before the end of the New Commitment Period. 

9. Acknowledgment of Terms: 

• You understand that by accepting these terms and conditions you hereby agree to amend the Original Contract and agree to a new 12-month Commitment Period under these terms and conditions; and.  

Your membership continues to be subject to Virgin Active’s Membership Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Rule Book, available at www.virginactive.co.za
