As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing your wellness and recovery experience, refurbishment work will be taking place in the steam rooms at Virgin Active Morningside
The project will be completed in phases:
- Gents' Steam Room: 24 Aug to 8 Sept
- Ladies' Steam Room: 27 Aug to 11 Sept
During these periods, the affected steam room will be temporarily unavailable while essential upgrades are completed.
What improvements can you expect?
- A refreshed, modern look with new wall, bench and floor tiles.
- Enhanced comfort and hygiene through improved waterproofing and upgraded surfaces.
- Improved safety with the installation of a grab rail.
- Upgraded amenities, including a new shower head.
- Better temperature retention and durability with a new aluminium-framed, double-glazed glass shopfront.
- A longer-lasting facility, thanks to sealing and refurbishment works designed to improve reliability and performance.
To minimise the impact on your routine, from 24 August to 11 September 2026, you are welcome to use any Virgin Active club (excluding Collection clubs).
We understand this temporary closure may cause some inconvenience and appreciate your patience while these important upgrades are completed. We look forward to welcoming you back to an enhanced steam room experience once the refurbishment is complete.
