OCTOBER OFFER CAMPAIGN
Join Virgin Active on a 1- or 2-year membership between 1 and 31 October 2025 (both dates included), enjoy a discounted joining fee, get October free, and receive 20% off your initial 12 or 24 months of membership fees.
- If you join Virgin Active on a new 1-year or 2-year adult membership (including Off Peak, Club, Premier, Premier Select, and all Youth Club, Premier, and Youth 14–23 membership types) between 1 and 31 October 2025 (both dates included), a discounted joining fee of R199 applies for all Lifecentre and Red Clubs. A discounted joining fee of R599 applies for Collection. You will also receive the month of October 2025 on us (no pro-rata due for October 2025).
- This offer also applies to members joining Virgin Active via Discovery Vitality and Momentum Multiply programmes.
- This offer also applies to members joining Virgin Active via the “Public to Vitality” membership type.
- The Discovery Vitality Activation fee of R699 applies to all Vitality new joiners, whether on Club, Premier / Premier Select, or Collection Club memberships (or a lower fee depending on various factors).
- Qualifying members will receive a 20% discountoff their initial 12- or 24-months’ membership fees, i.e., from November 2025 up to and including October 2026 / 2027, if you meet the following criteria:
- You sign up for a new Adult 1-year or 2-year membership between 1 and 31 October 2025 (both dates included).
- Your Virgin Active membership must be in good standing (i.e., not in arrears) at any time during the initial 12 / 24-month period.
- Download the Virgin Active App by no later than 10 November 2025.
- You train at least 4 times per month on separate days to qualify for the discount on the following month’s dues.
- Failure to comply with these criteria will result in the discount on the remaining months falling away immediately. However, the discount may be reinstated if the member meets the requirements again within the initial period.
General Clauses Applicable to the October 2025 New Joiner Campaign
- Pro-rata membership fees will not be payable for October 2025 (i.e., October is on us).
- No access card/device fees are payable for joiners in October 2025.
- Discounted joining fees are applicable for public joiners at all clubs, i.e., R199 at all Clubs including RED, but R599 for Collection Clubs, except for Workplace Wellness corporate members, where the agreed-upon joining fee will prevail.
- This offer is applicable to new joiners at Virgin Active Clubs in South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana.
- Your first discounted debit order will be for monthly membership fees in respect of November 2025. Thereafter, your discount will depend on training at least 4 times per month and your Virgin Active App is downloaded.
- If you miss any of these requirements, your debit order for the following month will be at the retail rate. If you catch up and train 4 times in that month, you can regain your discount for future months by maintaining the training requirement.
- Your Virgin Active membership must be in good standing (i.e., not in arrears) at any time during the initial 12 / 24-month period.
- If you have chosen a debit order date that is not the 1st of the month, then the debit order for the membership fees will run on the specified date in the preceding month as per the membership agreement.
- The relevant membership must be active and authorised on Virgin Active’s membership system in October 2025 in order to qualify.
- This offer only applies to new (not converting) members.
- The 20% discount is applicable to Virgin Active Workplace Wellness corporate partner members in addition to their specific agreed-upon discount.
- Your contract must not be cancelled or terminated within the cooling-off period or the initial commitment period stipulated in the membership contract, in order to qualify for discounted months.
- Members paying upfront in full for 12 or 24 months (i.e., not via debit order) will receive an additional one month (1-year product) or two months (2-year product) of membership free, added to the end of their contract period.
Exclusions from the October 2025 Campaign
- No new members will be allowed to downgrade their membership price point (e.g., moving from a public membership to a corporate or wellness programme membership) within the initial 6 months of their membership. This exclusion applies from 1 August 2025.
- No new members on one- or two-year membership types will be allowed to benefit from more than one new joiner campaign within the initial 12 or 24 months of their most recent membership sign-on date. This includes current members who are still within their initial 12- or 24-month membership period.
- These offers are not available to new joiners at Virgin Active Point.
- This offer is not applicable to existing members converting their membership to another product (e.g., corporate conversions, Collection upgrades/downgrades, or other product changes).
- No member who has been a Virgin Active member in the last 30 days can benefit from these offers.
- These offers are not applicable to short-term (3-month), Club-V, Dependant, complimentary, Vitality Legacy Club, Virgin Active staff, nominee, or tenant memberships.
- No existing members qualify for any of these offers.
- Returning members must have a clean membership history in good standing (i.e., no arrears and/or no disciplinary issues) in order to rejoin under this campaign.
- These promotional offers cannot be exchanged for cash, refunds, or rebates.
- Facilities and group classes may vary by Club.
- Should a member elect to “freeze” (suspend) their membership contract from 1 October 2025, the discounted months will not apply during the freeze.
- Discounts only apply if the member’s Virgin Active account is in good standing and not in arrears.
- If the member cancels their Virgin Active membership (e.g., within a cooling-off period), they will not be eligible for the discounted months and no refund will be given.
Discount from November 2025 to October 2026 / 2027
Once criteria are met, the discount will be applied for the month ahead for 12 or 24 months:
- 1-year membership = 12 months of discount.
- 2-year membership = 24 months of discount.
If the member lapses on the criteria, the discount falls away for the following month(s) until the training requirement is met again.
OCTOBER CAMPAIGN: U14, Club-V, and Club-V Max Offers
Join Virgin Active on a U14, Club-V, or Club-V Max membership between 1 and 31 October 2025 (both dates included) and pay no membership fees for October 2025.
- No joining fees, no access card/device fees, and no pro-rata membership fees for October 2025.
- Receive a complimentary swim lesson at participating Clubs.
- Offer applies to all corporate memberships, including Virgin Active’s wellness and/or rewards partners.
OCTOBER CAMPAIGN: Virgin Active Parents
Bring your child to Club-V for 2 complimentary visits!
- Between 1 and 31 October 2025 (both dates included), Virgin Active invites parents/legal guardians to bring their children (aged 6 weeks to 13 years) to Club-V or Club-V Max for two complimentary visits.
- Parents/guardians do not need to be Virgin Active members.
If the parent/legal guardian is NOT a Virgin Active member:
- A guest register process must be completed for each visit.
- Parents must bring an original ID or driver’s license, plus proof of biological or legal guardianship for each child.
- Once inside the club, parents must sign children into the Club-V facility and complete a disclaimer form.
If the parent/legal guardian IS a Virgin Active member:
- A disclaimer must be completed for each visit.
- Proof of biological or legal guardianship must be provided.
- Children must be signed into the Club-V facility by the parent/guardian.
OCTOBER CAMPAIGN: Adult, Club-V, and U14 Complimentary Swim Lesson
Join Virgin Active in October 2025 and qualify for a Complimentary Swim Lesson:
- Available to all new adult members and children joining on U18, Club-V, or Club-V Max memberships at participating Clubs.
- The resident Swim Coach will contact new joiners to arrange the complimentary lesson.
- The lesson will last 20–30 minutes and requires participants to swim (get into the pool).
- The complimentary swim lesson may be for either the child or the adult member.
