SEPTEMBER OFFER CAMPAIGN: Join Virgin Active on a 1- or 2-year membership between 1 to 30 September 2025 (both dates included), enjoy a discounted joining fee, get the rest of Septm on us and get 20 % off your initial 12 or 24 months of membership fees:
- If you join Virgin Active on a new 1 year or 2 year adult membership (including Off Peak, Club, Premier, Premier Select and all Youth Club, Premier and Youth 14 to 23 membership types) between 1 and 30 September 2025 (both dates included) and pay a discounted joining fee as well as receive the month of September 2025 on us (no pro-rata due for September 2025) and,
- Qualifying members will receive 20% discount off their initial 12 or 24 months membership fees, i.e. from October 2025 up to and including September 2026 / 2027 provided that you meet the following qualifying criteria:
- You sign up for a new Adult 1 year or 2 year membership between 1 and 30 September 2025 (both dates included)
- You download the Virgin Active APP by 10 October 2025 and keep this on your device for the next 12 / 24 months;
- Your Virgin Active membership must be in good standing, i.e. not in arrears at any time in the initial 12 / 24 month period.
- You train at least 4 times a month on separate days in order to get the discount on the following months dues.
- Failure to comply to these will mean that the discount on remaining months in the initial 12 / 24 months, will fall away immediately, it may be reinstated if the member meets the requirements again in the initial period.
General clauses applicable to September 2025 new joiner campaign, as per the above:
- Pro-rata membership fees will not be payable for September 2025 (i.e. September is on us) on both campaigns.
- No access card / device fees are payable for joiners in September 2025.
- Discounted joining fees are applicable for public joiners on all clubs, i.e. R199 at all Clubs, including RED but R599 for Collection Clubs, except for Workplace Wellness corporate members where the agreed upon joining fee will prevail.
- This offer is applicable to new joiners at Virgin Active Clubs in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.
- This offer is applicable to new joiners at all clubs, including Collection and RED clubs.
- Your first discounted debit order will be for monthly membership fees in respect of October 2025, after this your discount will depend on training at least 4 times in the month.
- If you miss the training requirement of 4 times on separate days in a month, then the debit order will be at the retail rate in the following month. If you catch up and train 4 times in that following month, you can regain your discount in the future month(s) by keeping your training per required.
- If you have chosen a debit order date that is not the 1st of the month, then the debit order for the membership fees will run on the specified date in in the preceding month as per the membership agreement.
- The relevant membership needs to be active and authorized on Virgin Active’s membership system in September 2025 in order to qualify.
- This offer only applies to new (not converting) members.
- The 20% discount is applicable to Virgin Active workplace wellness corporate partner members as well as their specific agreed upon discount.
- Your contract must not be cancelled or terminated within the residual cooling-off period, or the initial commitment period stipulated in the membership contract, in order to qualify for the discounted months.
- Members paying their membership fees in full and up front for 12 or 24 months (i.e., not via debit order) will receive an additional one month (1yr product), or two months (2yr product), of membership for free added to the end of their contract period.
Exclusions from the September 2025 campaign:
- No new members will be allowed to drop their price point (i.e. downgrade) their membership, including but not limited to for example, members who joined on a public membership and then wish to convert to a corporate or wellness programme membership (eg Discovery Vitality) within their initial 6 months of their membership period. This is not allowed from 1 July 2025 onwards.
- No new members on one- or two-year membership types, will be allowed to benefit from more than one new joiner campaign within the initial 12 or 24 months respectively of their most recent membership sign-on date. This includes current members who are within their initial 12- or 24-month membership period of their current membership contract.
- These offers are not available to new joiners at Virgin Active Point.
- This offer is not available to members joining Virgin Active via Discovery Vitality or Momentum Multiply programmes as they already receive their relevant programme discounts.
- The Discovery Vitality Activation fee of R699 applies to all Vitality new joiners whether on Club, Premier / Premier Select or Collection Club membership (or lower fee dependant on various factors).
- This offer is not applicable to any existing members converting their membership to another product including for example corporate conversions, non-Collection Club and Collection Club upgrades and downgrades.
- No member who has been a Virgin Active member in the last 30 days can benefit from these offers.
- These offers are not applicable to members joining via a short term, 3-month, Club V, Dependant, complimentary, Vitality Legacy Club, Virgin Active staff, nominee or tenant membership.
- No existing members qualify for any of these offers and these offers are not applicable to any membership conversions of any kind.
- Members who have had a prior membership at Virgin Active will need to have a clean membership history that was/is in good standing (i.e., no previous or current arrears and/or poor disciplinary record) in order to rejoin Virgin Active.
- These promotional offers cannot be exchanged for cash, or as a refund or some other rebate.
- Facilities and group classes may differ from Club to Club.
- Should a member elect to “freeze” (i.e., suspend) their membership contract while this promotional campaign is running (i.e., from 1 September 2025), the discounted months will cease and / or will not be carried over.
- The discounts on monthly dues will only apply if the member’s Virgin Active account is in good standing and not in arrears.
- If you are no longer in good standing, then the 20% discount falls away entirely and you will be liable for the full membership fees going forward.
- Your contract must not be cancelled or terminated within the residual cooling-off period, or the initial commitment period stipulated in the membership contract, in order to qualify for any discounted months that may be due.
- If the member cancels their Virgin Active membership (for example, but not necessarily limited to, cancellation within the legally permitted cooling-off periods) then they will not be eligible for the discounted months as specified and these amounts will not be refunded to the member.
Discount from October 2025 to September 2026 / 2027
Once criteria are met, the discount will be applied for the month ahead for 12 / 24 months. If the member takes a one-year membership, then 12 months discount, if the member takes a two-year membership, then the discount is 24 months. If the member lapses in the required criterion, then the discount falls away for the following months until the member catches up their visits in their initial term.

SEPTEMBER CAMPAIGN: U14, Club-V and Club-V Max offers for SEPTEMBER 2025:
Join Virgin Active on an U14 or Club-V / Club-V Max membership type between 1 and 30 September 2025 (both dates included) and pay no membership fees for September 2025:
- If you join on an U14 membership type or Club-V / Club-V Max membership between 1 to 30 September 2025 (both dates inclusive) then you will not be required to pay any upfront fees (i.e., no joining fees, no access card / device fees, and no pro rata membership fees) for September 2025 plus receive a free Swim Assessment at participating Clubs.
- This offer is available to all corporate memberships, including Virgin Active’s wellness and/or rewards partners.
- The free Swim Assessment is strictly only at participating Clubs and must be taken up within a month of joining
SEPTEMBER CAMPAIGN: Virgin Active parents “bring your child to Club-V for 2 free visits”
- Between 1 to 30 September 2025 (both dates inclusive), Virgin Active invites parents and / or legal guardians to bring their child/children to Club-V or Club-V Max for two free visits.
- Parents and /or guardians do not have to be a Virgin Active member.
- Children must be between the ages of 6 weeks to 13 years.
If the parent or legal guardian is not a current Virgin Active member, then
- Parents or legal guardians arriving at the Club will be required to complete a guest register process for themselves and their child/ren for each visit at the Club.
- Parents must bring their original identity document or driver’s license, plus proof that they are the biological parent or legal guardian of every child with them for each visit at the Club.
- Once inside the club, parents or legal guardians may bring their child/ren to the Club-V facility and will be required to sign them in there.
- Parents or legal guardians will be required to complete a disclaimer for their child/ren upon entering the club, as well as the guest register for themselves.
If the parent is a current Virgin Active member, then:
- Parents or legal guardians who are current Virgin Active members, arriving at the Club, will be required to complete a disclaimer for their child/ren upon club entry.
- Parents must provide proof that they are the biological parent or legal guardian of every child with them for each visit at the Club.
- Once inside the club, parents or legal guardians may bring their child/ren to the Club-V facility and will be required to sign them in there.
SEPTEMBER CAMPAIGN: Adult, Club-V and U14 offer – Swim Assessment
Join Virgin Active in September 2025 and qualify for a free Swim Assessment:
- If you join Virgin Active on any membership during the month of September 2025, then you will qualify for a free Swim Assessment conducted by the resident Swim Coach to assess your level of swimming competency and advise on coaching required to improve your swimming level.
- This offer is available to all new adult members as well as children joining on U18 and Club-V/Club-V Max membership products, only at certain participating Clubs.
- The resident Swim Coach will contact all new joiners and set up a time for the complimentary appointment and this must be taken up within a month of joining Virgin Active.
- You will be required to swim (i.e., get into the swimming pool) during this session and the entire session will last around 20 to 30 minutes. This Swim Assessment session can be for the child or the adult member.
