JULY OFFER CAMPAIGN #1: Join Virgin Active on a 1 or 2 year membership between 1 to 31 July 2025 (both dates included) and get the rest of July and month of August on us: 


  • If you join Virgin Active on a new 1 year or 2 year membership (including youth 14 to 23 year olds) between 1 and 31 July 2025 (both dates included) then you could enjoy discounted membership fees as set out below, provided that you meet the following qualifying criteria: 
  • You sign up for a new 1 year or 2 year membership between 1 and 31 July 2025 (both dates included) and receive July 2025 on us (no pro-rata due for July 2025) and get August on us as well.
  • Qualifying members will receive 100% discount off August’s 2025 membership fees.
  • In summary: Enjoy the rest of July and August 2025 on us.
    • Members paying their membership fees in full and up front for 12 or 24 months (i.e., not via debit order) will receive an additional one month (1yr product), or two months (2yr product), of membership for free added to the end of their contract period on condition that they have met the qualifying criteria. 
    • This offer is not available to members joining Virgin Active via Discovery Vitality or Momentum Multiply programmes as they already receive their relevant programme discounts.
    • This offer is applicable to Virgin Active workplace wellness corporate partner members.
    • This offer is applicable to joiners at Virgin Active Clubs in South Africa and Namibia and Botswana.

 

OR JULY CAMPAIGN #2: Join Virgin Active on a Premier status membership* between 1 and 31 July 2025 (both dates included), plus get 25% off the next 12 months of membership fees (August 2025 to July 2026): 


  • If you join Virgin Active on new Premier 1 year or 2 year membership between 1 to 31 July 2025 (both dates included) you will receive 25% discount off on your membership fees from August 2025 to July 2026 provided that:
    • Your Virgin Active membership account is in good standing (not in arrears).
  • If you are no longer in good standing, then the 25% discount falls away entirely and you will be liable for the full membership fees going forward.
  • Not applicable to new members joining on Premier Select or Premier Youth products, only applicable on Premier one and two year memberships.
  • No training requirements associated with this offer.
  • This offer is available to wellness and corporate partner members.

General clauses applicable to CAMPAIGNS in July 2025, as per the above:

  • You cannot get all these offers, you must choose between one of these campaigns above. 
  • Pro-rata membership fees will not be payable for July 2025 (i.e. July is on us). 
    • No access card / device fees are payable for joiners in July. 
  • Variable joining fees are applicable for public joiners on all clubs except Collection Clubs and Vitality Activation fee of R699 on Collection club memberships). The R699 Vitality activation fee for Club or R699 for Premier / Premier Select (or lower fee dependant on various factors) applies for Discovery Vitality members.
  • For campaign #1, your first debit order will be for monthly membership fees in respect of September 2025.
  • For campaign #2, your first debit order will be for monthly membership fees in respect of August 2025.
  • If you have chosen a debit order date that is not the 1st of the month, then the debit order for the membership fees will run on the specified date in in the preceding month as per the membership agreement. 
  • The relevant membership needs to be active and authorized on Virgin Active’s membership system in July 2025 by specified date, in order to qualify.
  • These offers are not applicable to short term, 3-month, complimentary, Vitality Legacy Club, Virgin Active staff, or tenant memberships. 
  • These offers are not available to members joining at Virgin Active Point.
  • Existing members upgrading to Collection Club status qualify for these offers, as well as, new joiners at Collection Clubs.
  • These offers will only apply if the member’s Virgin Active account is in good standing and not in arrears.
  • These offers also apply to corporate members where Virgin Active has a workplace wellness partnership in place.
  • Your contract must not be cancelled or terminated within the residual cooling-off period, or the initial commitment period stipulated in the membership contract, in order to qualify for the free and / or discounted months. 

 

Exclusions from these promotional offers as set out in  July campaigns above:

 

  • No new members or members who have already joined in 2025 will be allowed to drop their price point (i.e. downgrade) their membership, including but not limited to for example, members who joined on a public membership and then wish to convert to a corporate or wellness programme membership (eg Discovery Vitality) within their initial 6 months of their membership period. This is not allowed from 1 July 2025 onwards.

 

  • No new members on one- or two-year membership types, will be allowed to benefit from a new joiner campaign within the initial 12 or 24 months respectively of their most recent membership sign-on date. This includes current members who are within their initial 12- or 24-month membership period of their current membership contract.

 

 

  • Except for Collection Club upgrades and conversions, outside of the initial period, no existing member can qualify for these promotions. 
  • These offers are not applicable to members joining via a short term, complimentary, Virgin Active staff, or tenant membership.
  • These offers are excluded from membership conversions of any kind if a member’s prior membership is still within the commitment period of the prior contract. 
  • Members who have had a prior membership at Virgin Active will need to have a clean membership history that was/is in good standing (i.e., no previous or current arrears and/or poor disciplinary record) to qualify for these offers. 
  • If the member has cancelled their Virgin Active membership (for example, but not necessarily limited to, cancellation within the legally permitted cooling-off periods) then they will not be eligible for the free and / or discounted months as specified in these offers.
  • These promotional offers cannot be exchanged for cash or some other rebate.
  • Facilities and group classes may differ from Club to Club.
  • Should a member elect to “freeze” (i.e., suspend) their membership contract while this promotional campaign is running (i.e., from 1 July 2025), the free and / or discounted months will cease and / or will not be carried over.

JULY CAMPAIGN #3 U14, Club-V and Club-V Max offers for JULY 2025:


Join Virgin Active on an U14 or Club-V / Club-V Max membership type between 1 and 31 July 2025 (both dates included) and pay no membership fees for July 2025: 

  • If you join on an U14 membership type or Club-V / Club-V Max membership between 1 to 31 July 2025 (both dates inclusive) then you will not be required to pay any upfront fees (i.e., no joining fees, no access card / device fees, and no pro rata membership fees) for July 2025 plus receive a free Swim Assessment at participating Clubs.
  • This offer is available to all corporate memberships, including Virgin Active’s wellness and/or rewards partners.
  • The free Swim Assessment is strictly only at participating Clubs and must be taken up within a month of joining

JULY CAMPAIGN #4: Virgin Active parents “bring your child to Club-V for 2 free visits”

  • Between 1 to 31 July 2025 (both dates inclusive), Virgin Active invites parents and / or legal guardians to bring their child/children to Club-V or Club-V Max for two free visits.
  • Parents and /or guardians do not have to be a Virgin Active member.
  • Children must be between the ages of 6 weeks to 13 years. 

 

If the parent or legal guardian is not a current Virgin Active member, then

  • Parents or legal guardians arriving at the Club will be required to complete a guest register process for themselves and their child/ren for each visit at the Club.
  • Parents must bring their original identity document or driver’s license, plus proof that they are the biological parent or legal guardian of every child with them for each visit at the Club.
  • Once inside the club, parents or legal guardians may bring their child/ren to the Club-V facility and will be required to sign them in there.
  • Parents or legal guardians will be required to complete a disclaimer for their child/ren upon entering the club, as well as the guest register for themselves.

 

If the parent is a current Virgin Active member, then:

  • Parents or legal guardians who are current Virgin Active members, arriving at the Club, will be required to complete a disclaimer for their child/ren upon club entry.
  • Parents must provide proof that they are the biological parent or legal guardian of every child with them for each visit at the Club.
  • Once inside the club, parents or legal guardians may bring their child/ren to the Club-V facility and will be required to sign them in there.


JUNE CAMPAIGN #5: Adult, Club-V and U14 offer – Swim Assessment

Join Virgin Active in July 2025 and qualify for a free Swim Assessment: 

  • If you join Virgin Active on any membership during the month of July 2025, then you will qualify for a free Swim Assessment conducted by the resident Swim Coach to assess your level of swimming competency and advise on coaching required to improve your swimming level. 
  • This offer is available to all new adult members as well as children joining on U18 and Club-V/Club-V Max membership products, only at certain participating Clubs. 
  • The resident Swim Coach will contact all new joiners and set up a time for the complimentary appointment and this must be taken up within a month of joining Virgin Active. 
  • You will be required to swim (i.e., get into the swimming pool) during this session and the entire session will last around 20 to 30 minutes. This Swim Assessment session can be for the child or the adult member.
