July 2022 Refer A Friend Promotion

EXISTING Virgin Active members referring a friend who joins in July 2022 and receive 30 days of smoothies from Kauai.

• This campaign is limited to one member being referred by the existing member and joining up.
• Existing members are defined as members who have an active membership approved and showing on the Virgin Active member base as at 30 June 2022.
• The referred friend must join up on a 1- or 2-year Virgin Active adult membership, i.e. no U18s (excluding Youth 14-17 membership) and no Club-V joiners will receive the 30 days of smoothies.
• Exclusions: This offer is not applicable to short term, 3-month, complimentary, Virgin Active staff or tenant memberships.
• Furthermore, members in Namibia, Botswana and George are not included in this campaign.
• This offer will only apply if the referring existing member’s Virgin Active account is in good standing and not in arrears.
• This campaign is applicable to existing members who are members in South Africa only.
• The new member’s contract must not be subsequently cancelled or terminated within the residual cooling-off period or the initial commitment period stipulated in the membership contract, in order for the referring member to qualify for the Kauai 30 day smoothie subscription.
• The existing member’s membership contract must not be terminated or cancelled, otherwise the benefit of this campaign will immediately fall away.
• This promotional offer cannot be exchanged for cash or some other rebate.
• Once a new member has joined, no subsequent claims of a referral for this member will be honoured.
• Members will need to download the new Kauai app onto their smartphone device in order to receive the voucher subscription.
• The smoothies can be ordered and redeemed daily for 30 consecutive days from date after receiving the subscription in their Kauai app.
• Members can redeem one small (350ml) Smoothie per day. Once a member has redeemed their daily small (350ml) Smoothie voucher, a new voucher will become available the next day to redeem.
• Members can redeem any 350ml Smoothie, Protein Smoothie and/or Superfood Smoothie as part of their 30-day Smoothie subscription.
• Kids Smoothies (250ml) is not included in the 30-Day Smoothie Subscription offer.
• Any smoothie add ons will be charged for at the normal menu price.
• To redeem this offer, simply follow the next steps:
  • Tap on the ‘’Subscriptions’’ section in the Kauai App
  • Select ‘’My Subscriptions’’ and your ‘’30-Day Virgin Active Smoothie Subscription’’ offer will be visible.
  • Tap to view or redeem your 30-Day Smoothie Subscription vouchers.
  • To redeem your smoothie voucher in store, place your smoothie order at the till, open the offer and scan the QR code in order for the voucher to redeem on the transaction.
  • If you would like to place an order ahead for pick up for a select time OR for delivery, select the store that you would like to order from, select your smoothie and add to your cart, proceed to checkout and select ‘’use a subscription’’ in order to redeem your voucher on the transaction.
• Members can redeem their Smoothie subscription offer at any Kauai store in South Africa (inside and outside Virgin Active), as well as the Kauai Food Truck.
• These vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or used against any other smoothie or Kauai special offer.
• These vouchers cannot be redeemed from Kauai with any other delivery partners like Uber Eats, Mr D Food and/or Bolt Food.
• Members cannot redeem their Smoothie subscription offer at Kauai Saheti School, Kauai American School, Kauai Parklands College or any store outside of the borders of South Africa.
• The 30-Day Smoothie Subscription offer cannot be redeemed at Nu stores.
• Only eligible, compatible smart phone devices qualify for this. In order for member to have access to the 30 day Kauai subscription, their device software needs to be compatible with the new Kauai App.
• The 30 day smoothie subscription can only be accessed via the new Kauai app.
• Members must ensure they have the latest software version updated on their device.
• Android Devices are compatible with the Kauai App if the Android Software is version 10 or higher. For optimal app use, the device will require a minimum of 1.5 GB RAM. Any lower RAM specification may lead to lower response times.
• IOS Devices are compatible with the Kauai App if the IOS Software is version 9 or above. The minimum device specification for IOS is iPhone 6 and above.
• Refer to specific Terms and Conditions from Kauai regarding the redemption of the 30 days of smoothies which allows for one smoothie a day for 30 consecutive days.
• No correspondence will be entered into regarding queries of referrals.
• Please take note: If a new Virgin Active member already has the Kauai App and has bought a 30-Day Smoothie Subscription eg in June, before joining Virgin Active – they will be able to see and use both their subscriptions in the Kauai app, i.e. they will be able to redeem against both Smoothie Subscriptions. They will not lose the original 30-Day Smoothie Subscription purchased (before joining Virgin Active in the month of JULY).
• All new Virgin Active members can use both their 30-Day Smoothie Subscriptions when ‘’ordering ahead’’ and/or redeeming a smoothie voucher in store.
• The same applies for Virgin Active members who received the 30-Day Smoothie Subscription, when they signed up to Virgin Active in June. If they successfully refer a friend who joins Virgin Active in July, they will receive ANOTHER 30-Day Smoothie Subscription which will run concurrently.
• These subscriptions will overlap and be active at the same time. This means they will be able to redeem against both Smoothie Subscriptions. They will not lose the original 30-Day Smoothie Subscription issued to them when they signed up in June. They will, in other words, be able to redeem 2 smoothies a day while these two subscriptions overlap.
• The new subscription will be active from the day of issue, +plus 30 days. It will not be issuedafter the previous subscription has ended.
