We're excited to share that upgrades are coming to Virgin Active Richards Bay, designed to enhance the way you train, work and connect in club.
From 7 November, we'll be investing in improved training spaces, new equipment, and a refreshed Kauai and co-working environment. While some temporary disruption is expected, these improvements will create a more modern, functional, and enjoyable member experience.
What's Coming?
Enhanced Training & Lifestyle Spaces
- A refreshed Strength training area
- An enhanced Functional Training zone
- New-generation cardio equipment
- An upgraded Kauai and co-working space, creating a more comfortable environment to work, meet, relax, or enjoy a coffee before or after your workout
What to Expect During the Works
Throughout the project, there may be temporary changes to:
- Kauai service offerings and seating arrangements
- Access to co-working areas while improvements are completed
- Reception layouts and member access routes
- Noise levels during certain construction activities
Key Dates
7 November
- Strength area unavailable
- Club closes at 2pm
16 November
- Work to Kauai & Co-working space commences - these spaces will be unavailable for use for the duration of the project.
19 November
- Club closes at 8pm
21 November
- Club closes at 2pm
9 - 10 December 2026
- Cardio area temporarily unavailable during this period
Please keep an eye on the App and in-club posters for updates on the progress of your refurbishment. Our team will provide clear signage and support to minimise inconvenience wherever possible.
During the refurbishment period, members may continue to train at any Virgin Active club (excluding Collection clubs).
