Please be advised that Virgin Active Stellenbosch will be affected by two planned municipal service interruptions this week.
Water Supply Interruption
Date: 5 August 2026
Time: 09:00 to 17:00
The municipality will be conducting servicing on transformers and the main power supply network at the mall.
During the municipal water supply interruption the club will be affected as below:
- The air conditioner will be off.
- Expect a drop in pool temperature.
- Shower facilities are unavailable.
- Bathroom facilities are out of order.
During this municipal water supply interruption:
- Ground floor public toilets will be unavailable.
Electricity Interruption
Date: 6 August 2026 to 7 August 2026
Time: 22:00 to 05:00
The municipality will be conducting servicing on transformers and the main power supply network at the mall.
During this period:
- Generator power may not be available.
- Club operations may be affected while maintenance is underway.
Please note: During the municipal water interruption on 5 August normal water outage limitations will apply.
During the municipal electricity interruption scheduled overnight (6 August, 10pm to 7 August, 5am) - while the mall has backup generators, please be advised that generator power may not be available as a precaution.
We do not anticipate any impact to club operations, however there is a risk of service interruption should maintenance extend beyond the planned timeframe or should generator support be unavailable.
Members are welcome to use any Virgin Active club during these municipal disruptions, with the exception of Virgin Active Collection clubs.
