Dear Little Falls Members,
I wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for your patience, understanding, and loyalty over the past few years as we have navigated the unique power challenges affecting the Little Falls area.
Many of you will know that Little Falls has experienced more than its fair share of power interruptions, and while we have worked extensively with the Municipality and other stakeholders to seek long-term solutions, it became clear that we needed to take a more proactive approach to protect the member experience at our club.
I'm therefore delighted to share that "HOPE" has officially arrived.
For those who may not know, HOPE is the name our members chose for the club's new generator, and I can think of no more fitting name. HOPE represents our commitment to ensuring that your training experience remains as uninterrupted as possible and that Little Falls continues to be a club our members can rely on.
This investment forms part of a broader solution specifically implemented for Little Falls to help minimise the impact of ongoing power interruptions. The combination of the club's inverter system and the addition of HOPE, our new generator, will allow us to maintain many of the critical services and facilities our members rely on during outages.
While this is a significant step forward, it is important to note that the generator does have limitations and will not currently support all heating and cooling functions within the club. This includes areas such as the sauna, steam room, pool heating, showers, and certain air-conditioning systems. We know these amenities are important to our members and are actively exploring options to further enhance our backup capabilities and improve heating and cooling support in the future.
Rather than simply continuing to react to outages, our goal has been to invest in practical solutions that improve reliability, reduce disruption, and provide greater consistency for our members wherever possible.
I would also like to take this opportunity to recognise and thank Iona and the Little Falls team. Iona has been relentless in advocating for the club, the team, and most importantly our members. Her passion, persistence, and ongoing motivation played a significant role in ensuring that this initiative remained a priority.
To our members, thank you for the support, feedback, patience, and understanding you have shown during this journey. We know that disruptions have impacted your experience, and we are incredibly grateful that so many of you have continued to stand by your club.
While we can't control every external challenge that comes our way, we can control how we respond to them. HOPE is a reflection of that commitment.
Thank you for being part of the Little Falls community and for continuing to choose Virgin Active.
Warm regards,
Jacqui Walter
