We’re excited to share important information about the planned temporary training facilities at Virgin Active Point during our refurbishment, which will begin on 26 May 2025. We’ve designed a selection of temporary solutions to ensure you continue training seamlessly.
Starting from Monday, 2nd June 2025, the following temporary training facilities, provided we get the necessary council approvals, will be provided:
- Free-Weight Equipment
- Functional Training Equipment
- Self-Powered Cardio Equipment
- Cardio Machines (Treadmills, Bikes, etc.)
- Strength Training Equipment
- Watt Bikes
- Multipurpose Group Exercise Studio
- Temporary Ablution Facilities
- Food and Beverage offering
These temporary facilities will be housed in a comfortable, fully enclosed, covered and weather-protected environment.
Additionally, during the refurbishment period, you are welcome to train at any Virgin Active club (excluding Collection) across the country. This will give you plenty of flexibility to continue your training without disruption.
Virgin Active Cape Town Foreshore and Virgin Active Wembley Square are the closest clubs to Virgin Active Point. The Virgin Active Cape Town Foreshore club hours will be amended by the 31st of May 2025 to include Weekend access.
Virgin Active Cape Town Foreshore hours:
Mon – Thursday 5am to 10pm
Friday 5 am to 9pm
Sat, Sun and Public Holidays 6am to 8pm
Phase 2 (End of July 2025):
As the refurbishment progresses, we’ll enhance your experience with:
- Recovery options for post-workout relaxation
- Upgraded showers, ablution, and changing facilities
