Virgin Active East London Electrical Issue Update

Dear Virgin Active East London members

We are aware of the longstanding electrical issues at the club and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.

We wanted to outline the detail of why we find ourselves in this frustrating position and update you on the progress.

Since we first experienced electrical issues in September, our senior maintenance team, together with the local electrical supplier and the Municipality went through a stringent process of elimination to find the cause of the problem.

We're happy to let you know that this has been identified and largely resolved. Here is an outline of how you may be impacted:  

Seven out of nine treadmills are operational. All treadmills will be fully functional early next week.

Ladies steam room is now operational.

Men’s sauna is now operational.

Kauai store operational.

Parts for the ladies sauna and men’s steam room will arrive by the end of next week and these facilities will reopen as soon as possible.

Work is underway on the hot water storage tank and hot water is expected to be on temperature by Monday morning. Considering the volume of water in the pool, pool temperature may take two days longer to be within optimal temperature range.
