Virgin Active Boulders Club Closure: Club Members

Dear Member,


At Virgin Active, we are committed to delivering an exceptional wellness experience across our network of clubs. As part of our ongoing responsibility to evaluate and optimise our estate, we occasionally make the difficult decision to close clubs that have reached the end of their lifecycle.


After a thorough review, Virgin Active Boulders will permanently be closing its doors on 30 June 2025. Having proudly served the community for over 15 years, Boulders is one of our older clubs. Unfortunately, despite various considerations, even extensive renovations would not allow the club to meet the modern standards our members expect, nor would it be viable in the long term.


While we understand this news may be disappointing, we remain dedicated to helping you continue your wellness journey with as little disruption as possible.


Here’s what you need to know:


  • From 2 May to 30 June 2025, you will have access to all Virgin Active clubs nationwide. This is your opportunity to explore and experience other clubs before deciding where you’d like to continue your membership.
  • In June 2025, we will transfer your membership to your club of choice.
    • If you choose Vodaworld or Carlswald Virgin Active, your current Boulders membership rate will remain in place until the end of 2025. From 1 January 2026, your fees will adjust to that club’s standard rate.
    • If you choose any other Virgin Active club, your membership rate will be updated to that club’s applicable rate from 1 July 2025.
