Dear Member,
We would like to provide you with an important update on the ongoing construction work in the shower area at Virgin Active Cedar Square.
Current Progress: The Engineers have completed the new raised slab in the shower and ablution areas, and they have completed the screeding of voids. All plumbing pipes below the slab have been replaced, and the screeds have been waterproofed with cementitious waterproofing. The next phase will focus on constructing new brickwork walls and partitions for the shower blocks and ablutions between the cubicles, followed by the installation of new wall and floor tiles, new ceilings as well as new shower screens and shower mixers to shower blocks.
Estimated Timelines: We now have a confirmed completion date of Friday, 6th December, with some minor snagging items that may have to be resolved in the weeks following 06 Dec 2024. Please keep in mind that timelines may shift slightly due to unforeseen circumstances.
Temporary Arrangements: During this period, the following arrangements are in place:
- Men’s and ladies’ ablution and shower facilities are closed.
- Members can use the restrooms in the Cedar Square Centre as an alternative.
- Members are welcome to train and use shower facilities at alternative clubs (excluding Collection Clubs).
We understand that these ongoing issues have been frustrating, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are working diligently with our landlord and specialists to ensure the work is completed as quickly as possible.
Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we are committed to restoring full functionality to our facilities soon. We will keep you updated on the progress.
