Change is never easy and it’s with a heavy heart that we’re saying goodbye to Virgin Active Soweto on 30 November 2023.
The landlord has served notice of termination on our rental agreement in order to redevelop and repurpose the property.
Our Executive team will be available at the Soweto club on Thursday the 12th of October at 13h00 should you have any questions for them.
Here’s the good news: As of 1 November 2023, you’ll automatically be upgraded to a Premier membership* at your current rate.
Fees will be adjusted annually by inflation-related increase and your Premier membership allows you to train at any one of our 130+ Virgin Active clubs across SA (excluding Collection Clubs).
While you’ll have access to all our clubs, these 3 are closest to Virgin Active Soweto:
Jabulani Virgin Active: 7km
Lenasia Virgin Active: 11km
Glenvista Virgin Active: 15km
Club V members will be upgraded to a Premier membership and be able to join the kids’ facilities, Club-V or Club-V Max, at your new home club (the club you predominantly train at on your Premier membership). This upgrade will be at no cost until they are 8 years old.
And when your child turns 18 years old, a club adult membership fee will apply but they’ll still enjoy the benefits of a Premier membership.

If the Premier option does not suit your needs, you are most welcome to downgrade your current membership to Jabulani Virgi Active and carry on your journey to health in this facility.
