DECEMBER 2024 Terms and Conditions:

DECEMBER CAMPAIGN: Join Virgin Active between 1 and 31 December 2024 (both dates included) get the rest of the month on us and train at any club (excluding Collection) in December 2024:

  • New joiners (hereinafter referred to as “members”) taking up a Virgin Active 1 or 2 year membership between 1 to 31 December 2024 (both dates included), pay no pro-rata for December and no access card fee and get Premier access for the month of December 2024, provided that they meet the following qualifying criteria:
  • Sign up for a new adult 1 year or 2 year membership between 1 and 31 December 2024 (both dates included);
  • You pay your joining fee (if applicable) and / or activation fee for Discovery Vitality members (if applicable) in December 2024;

General clauses applicable to December 2024 CAMPAIGNS:

  • Pro-rata membership fees will not be payable for December 2024 (i.e. December is on us).
  • No access card / device fees are payable for joiners in December 2024.
  • New joiners also enjoy a free upgrade to Premier membership status during December 2024 and up until 5 January 2025. December joiners can train at any Virgin Active Club excluding Collection Clubs during this period 1 December 2024 to 5 January 2025.
  • Joining fees are applicable (R199 for public joiners on all membership types, R499 at Collection Clubs) and applicable activation fee for Discovery Vitality members.
  • Your first debit order will be for monthly membership fees in respect of January 2025.
  • If you have chosen a debit order date that is not the 1st of the month, then the debit order for the membership fees for January 2025 will run on the specified date in December 2024 as per the membership agreement.
    • Members paying cash upfront not via debit order, will pay for 12 months upfront in advance and receive the remainder of December 2024 on us.
  • The relevant membership needs to be active and authorized on Virgin Active’s membership system by no later than 31 December 2024 in order to qualify.
  • This offer is not applicable to short term, 3-month, complimentary, Vitality Legacy Club, Virgin Active staff, or tenant memberships.
  • These offers also apply to corporate members including those joining via Discovery Vitality and are subject to confirmation of valid Discovery Vitality membership. Visit discovery.co.za to join Vitality.
  • Facilities and group classes may differ from Club to Club.
  • This promotional offer cannot be exchanged for cash or some other rebate.
  • This promotional offer is also applicable to new joiners in Namibia and Botswana.
    • Should a member elect to “freeze” (i.e., suspend) their membership contract while this promotional campaign is running (i.e., from 1 December 2024), the Premier access will will not be carried over into the months when the member is back training with us.

DECEMBER CAMPAIGN: Existing Virgin Active members as at 30 November 2024 get a free upgrade to Premier membership status and train at any Club (excluding Collection Clubs) from 15 December 2024 to 5 January 2025 (both dates included) : 

  • Existing Virgin Active members will be able to train at any Virgin Active Club in South Africa, Botswana and Namibia between 15 December 2024 and 5 January 2025, excluding Collection Clubs.
  • Qualifying members access cards and digital cards will automatically allow Premier access during this time period.
  • Virgin Active Off-Peak members can train in Off Peak hours at other clubs (excluding Collection Clubs)
  • The membership needs to be active (not frozen) and in good standing (not in arrears) on Virgin Actives membership system during this period in order to allow for the upgrade to Premier access.
  • This offer is not applicable to short term, 3 months, complimentary, Virgin Active staff or tenant memberships.
  • This promotional offer cannot be exchanged for cash or some other rebate.
  • Facilities and group classes may differ from Club to Club.

DECEMBER CAMPAIGN #3 U14, Club-V and Club-V Max offers for December 2024:

 

Join Virgin Active on an U14 or Club-V / Club-V Max membership type between 1 and 31 December 2024 (both dates included) and pay no membership fees for December 2024: 

  • If you join on an U14 membership type or Club-V / Club-V Max membership between 1 and 31 December 2024 (both dates inclusive) then you will not be required to pay any upfront fees (i.e., no joining fees, no access card / device fees, and no pro rata membership fees) for December 2024 plus receive a free Swim Assessment at participating Clubs.
  • This offer is available to all corporate memberships, including Virgin Active’s wellness and/or rewards partners.
  • The free Swim Assessment is strictly only at participating Clubs and must be taken up within a month of joining.

DECEMBER CAMPAIGN #4: Virgin Active parents “bring your child to Club-V for 2 free visits”

  • Between 1 – 31 December 2024 (both dates inclusive), Virgin Active invites parents and / or legal guardians to bring their child/children to Club-V or Club-V Max for two free visits.
  • Parents and /or guardians do not have to be a Virgin Active member.
  • Children must be between the ages of 6 weeks to 13 years.

If the parent or legal guardian is not a current Virgin Active member, then

  • Parents or legal guardians arriving at the Club will be required to complete a guest register process for themselves and their child/ren for each visit at the Club.
  • Parents must bring their original identity document or driver’s license, plus proof that they are the biological parent or legal guardian of every child with them for each visit at the Club.
  • Once inside the club, parents or legal guardians may bring their child/ren to the Club-V facility and will be required to sign them in there.
  • Parents or legal guardians will be required to complete a disclaimer for their child/ren upon entering the club, as well as the guest register for themselves.

If the parent is a current Virgin Active member, then:

  • Parents or legal guardians who are current Virgin Active members, arriving at the Club, will be required to complete a disclaimer for their child/ren upon club entry.
  • Parents must provide proof that they are the biological parent or legal guardian of every child with them for each visit at the Club.
  • Once inside the club, parents or legal guardians may bring their child/ren to the Club-V facility and will be required to sign them in there.

 

DECEMBER CAMPAIGN #5: Adult, Club-V and U14 offer – Swim Assessment

Join Virgin Active in December 2024 and qualify for a free Swim Assessment: 

  • If you join Virgin Active on any membership during the month of December 2024, then you will qualify for a free Swim Assessment conducted by the resident Swim Coach to assess your level of swimming competency and advise on coaching required to improve your swimming level. 
  • This offer is available to all new adult members as well as children joining on U18 and Club-V/Club-V Max membership products, only at certain participating Clubs. 
  • The resident Swim Coach will contact all new joiners and set up a time for the complimentary appointment and this must be taken up within a month of joining Virgin Active. 
  • You will be required to swim (i.e., get into the swimming pool) during this session and the entire session will last around 20 to 30 minutes. This Swim Assessment session can be for the child or the adult member.
